Russian Pattern in the works!

I found the newest issue of my favorite
crochet magazine here in Russia!
Malenkaya Diana (little Diana)

Triangular Shawl

this is what I have completed so far:

This is the first time I have tried a symbol pattern. My language helper Lena was very excited that I actually understood the skehma! (pattern). It is not as hard as I thought it would be.

I've seen some beautiful Russian crochet websites. They have some very interesting things.

Knowing symbol crochet is a very helpful skill to have, and your shawl looks great.

I have committed to using only the yarn I already have... so the multi colored is from Italy and it is 42% cotton and 58% viscose and the Red is from Russia. The tag was long gone so I don't know what it is!!! LOL
