here is the finished product... I think it is too small for me!
Since I am doing this without a pattern this is basically an experiment that I will keep at until I get it right.
I have already started another.... I guess this one will have to be a gift to someone who wears a medium!
I think it will look better on me if I start the solid part before the third pattern starts.

Lovely top and great detail. What type of yarn did you use...? If you spritz it and place a towel over it then iron it will loosen up a bit.
I used Sugar n Cream so it is 100% cotton. I will try blocking it and see what happens... I just don't like wear the open work hits on the bust line for me!
i think it looks like it fits you fine, but i agree that i think it would look better if you did only two rows of the openwork at the bottom and filled out the bust part more with solid stitch. you did this without a pattern!? i'm impressed! ^_^

I think its gorgeous, I have not even attempted to crochet clothes yet! You did an amazing job on this.
